Sorry guys!

Hi lovelies!!!
We are hugely sorry that we have been so inactive this summer. Sara and Josie were at camp and I was so busy. Don't worry though, we are back and better then ever with many blog ideas floating through our heads for fall. We are so sad that summer is over, but are anxious to see what the falling leaves and pumpkin spice lattes of autumn will bring to us.

Ciate Manicure Review

Ok, so I was at the mall today and when I went to Sephora, I found a really cool manicure kit. It is called Ciate Caviar Manicure. I bought it, went home, and immediately tried it out.

Basically it comes with 4 things.

  • A light pink nail polish
  • tiny little pearls
  • a funnel
  • a plastic tray
To apply, you paint your nails with the light pink polish and then sprinkle the pearls on top. Do this over the tray so that with the extra pearls you can pour it into the funnel and back into the container. This product is soo fun and it was definetly worth the buy.

Evian Facial Spray

Hey guys, so currently in New Jersey it is like 97˚ F outside and it is hot! Summer has only just started and it is scorching! So I have been experimenting with ways to cool down. Evian Facial Spray is one of my personal favorites.

So basically, this product is a spray bottle with a water like substance inside. When you spray it on your face, it is extremely cooling and refreshing. It is said to moisturize, refreshen, and tone your face. It comes in three sizes as seen above- small, medium and large. I personally have two of the small ones, and I recently bought a medium sized one for the rest of the summer.

This is definitely one of my new summer favorites and I highly recommend that you try this product. You can find it at places like Sephora or even Bed Bath and Beyond.

DYI: Colorful Summer Nails

So lately I have been addicted to nail polish for some reason. I went to CVS over the weekend and I found all these bright colors, so I wanted to do a look with all of the colors together. So, after hours of research (not really), I found these:

This particular style is called tie die marble. I thought all the bright colors would be perfect for summer so here are instructions! **IT TAKES A FEW TRIES TO GET IT PERFECT**

Materials:

  • Shallow container of water (I find that cool or room temperature works best)
  • Scotch tape (or any different preffered type of resist - such as rubber cement)
  • Paper towel (just to keep things from getting too messy)
  • A couple toothpicks
  • Needle
  • Nail polish
    • one color for a base coat
    • at least two more for the designs
  • Clear coat of polish
Step 1:
Use the scotch tape to sort of seclude your fingernail. Put it on the skin all around your nail - this is so when we put the design on the nail, the paint does not get all over the rest of your finger.

Step 2:
Choose another color and let paint drip from the brush into the saucer of water.

When it drips into the water it should disperse a little bit.

Take your second color and let it drip in the same manner, in the middle of the first color.

Keep doing this, alternating colors just a few times. The more colors you use the more you can alternate

Step 3:

With the needle draw some lines in the colors. This will make everything swirl and twist, and be wonderful!

Step 4:
Pick your favorite spot on the design and gently dip your taped finger into the water. You can completely submerge the finger, and the polish will adhere to the nail.

Slowly lift your finger out of the water, remove the tape, and marvel at your creation.

Step 5:
After doing the rest of your nails in the same manner, paint over them all with a clear coat.

After that you'll have beautiful, and completely unique nails

HAVE FUN!!

DIY Body Scrub

Ok, so a while ago my body scrub ran out and I was really in need of one. I decided to look up how to make my own one. My searches led me here. I am going to tell you how to do it below (a more simplified version), but you can also just look at the link.

Do It Yourself- Body Scrub
Time needed:
10 minutes

Materials:
salt or sugar
oil
a bowl
essential oils (optional)
a spoon

Procedure:
To start, you want 1 part oil and two parts sugar or salt. (1:2; 2:4; etc) Place sugar or salt in a container then add the oil. Mix with a spoon.
If you would like your scrub to smell "divine" add a few drops of essential oil.

Notes:
    • Sugar can be more gentle than salt. If you have extremely sensitive skin, I would use dark brown sugar.
    • For the oil you can use a basic baby oil, coconut oil, almond oil, vegetable oil, etc.
    • Don't be worried if the salt settles to the bottom. It is impossible to prevent this.
    • When using- take a spoonful of the mixture and rub a dub dub all over your body (:

Forever 21

So a Forever 21 opened around January(ish) in the mall in our town. Its two floors and HUGE! It is definitely my favorite clothing store at the moment because it has everything from skirts to tanks tops to p.j.'s to bikinis to even make-up and accessories. They even have shoes and lingerie. I'm a tank-top girl, and in the last 3 time I've been there (probably once a week or so) I've gotten about 4 tank-tops. They have all the new trends are are constantly changing their looks. I swear, there's probably something there for every one's liking. So if you know one around you or you could always check online. It will not be a waste of your time, and every things so inexpensive priced there. Thanks!

^^ Actually store in our mall! ^^

Cutie Patootie: Ducks!

Ok, so I was randomly surfing the web and I came across the most adorable picture of a duck. I really wanted to share it with you and I decided to make a new section for "our life." I am going to call it Cutie Patootie and every time I do it, there will be a theme. I will then show you my favorite pictures of the theme, in this case ducks!

Gahh! Isn't this just adorable! Just look at it's fuzzy hair and plump body! It's eyes are just staring right at me as if they were saying, "Pick me up!"

I love how in this picture the cat is staring right the ducks, while they just sit there. (: Super cutee!!!

This little baby is precious! They flowers on it's head make it that much better! I would love to cuddle this sweetie pie.

I saw this, and I just had to throw it in here! Just look at those eyes!

Xxxx

which is your favorite duck? What should the theme be next time?

My obsession: Lush Toothy Tabs

Hey girlies! So around ten days ago, on my birthday, I received a whole bunch of Lush goodies. Among them, were these Toothy Tabs in the Sparkle flavor. So basically toothy tabs are little tabs for brushing your teeth. You place one between your two front teeth and crumble it. Then, with a wet toothbrush, you scrub your pearly whites. ;) They come in a few different flavors, mine a mixture of lemon, grapefruit, and black pepper. Personally, I do not love how this tastes as a toothpaste, because I am not sure the flavors mesh well. I still use it because it is so unique to other toothpastes in a bottle. It actually works really well, because as soon as the wet bristles start scrubbing the tabs dissolve and foam into a regular dental cleanser. I would definitely recommend this product to you!
Xx
Have any of you tried this product? If so, what flavor do you have? Do you like it? If not, are you interested in trying this?

Lovely Looks: Brights!

Hi girls! How are you doing? Where I live it has been raining for the past couple of days. I guess April showers came late this year! So last weekend I walked into Forever 21 and my eyes instantly picked up a sea of bright colors! I saw Elle Fowler's video which was a haul of all brights and I fell in love! I don't have many brights in my closet so I think a shopping spree may be in order for this weekend! A few of my favorite trends are bright blazers, colored denim, and bright purses. When wearing this trend do not be afraid to go all bright! If you want your outfit can include everything bright, just make sure the colors do not clash! If you are not as bold go for one pop of color in your outfit. My favorite look is one that includes half brights and half classic pieces. My style is not vey bold. My dream look would be.....

Thats all for today folks, I hope you enjoyed this post!
Are you going to try this look for spring and summer? Tell us in the comments!
XOXO!

Fragrance Sampler

Ok, so my birthday was on Thursday, and one of my friends got me the Sephora Fragrance Sample for Her. Incase some of you do not know how it works, the package comes with samples of 12 perfumes and a voucher for a full size bottle of your favorite - which you bring to your nearest Sephora.
The Scents:
bvalgari: Mon Jasmine Noir
This scent to me is very floral. With notes of Golden Cedrat, Lily of the Valley, Jasmine, Nougatine, and wood this product is very modern and chic. If you are seeking a floral scent that is highly refined, I would chose this product.

Coach: Poppy Fower
This scent smells very fruity with some hints of florals in the midst. It layers the two scents between fresh herbal notes and warm hints of musk and exotic wood. I know that it has some fruity notes of lychee, apricot skin, and raspberry (among others) and some floral notes of Water Lily, Peony, and Jasmine. It has a very romantic  and youthful scent so I recommend this if that is what you are looking for.

Clinique: Happy
This scent seems to have a hint of citrus in it and I can aslo smell flowers. It is said to contain grapefruit, Hawaiian wedding flower, and spring mimosa. I love the way they combined the citrus and floral scents, and if you are looking for that kind of thing... I would recommend this scent in a second.

Dolce & Gabbana: Light Blue
This scent is comprised of floral and fruity notes. It's combination of limes, apples, bluebells, jasmine, bamboo, and white rose creates a very lively and happy scent. I would recommend this to any feminine and decisive woman looking for this kind of smell.

DKNY: pure
This scent has a very light floraly scent. According to the company, the signature note is a drop of verbena. It makes the product very fresh and bright, but at the same time balanced and sophisticated. If you are looking for a pure, simple, and floral scent I would recommend this one.

Giorgio Armani: Acqua di Gioia
To me this scent smells very clean and aquatic. It is said to represent the "purity of nature." If you are looking for something natural and pure I would definitely recommend this product.

Givenchy: Very Irresistible, Givenchy l'intense
This scent is also floral! It is said to have notes of Turkish rose, plum, musk, and patchouli. It is extremely sensual and feminine. I would recommend this scent to anyone looking for something floraly, feminine, and glamourous.

Gucci: Guilty
This perfume smells kind of like an oriental floral mix. It is said to have notes of mandarin, pink pepper, peach, lilac, geranium, amber, and patchouli. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something bold, brazen, and beautiful.

Juicy Couture
When I first smelled this perfume it was kind of sweet but then it kind of dries down. It is said to have notes of watermelon, mandarin, passionfruit, apples, crème brulée, and vanilla. I would recommend this perfume if you are looking for something classic and flirty.

Marc Jacobs: Daisy
This scent smells just like a bouquet of flowers! It has notes of wild strawberry, violet leaves, and red grapefruit! If you are looking for a happy perfume with a playful innocence I would definitely recommend this floral scent.

Prada: Infusion d'Iris
This scent is a floral-citrus combination. It has notes of iris pallida and mandarin- which combine to create a fresh and dreamlike experience. If you are looking for something classy and original, with a elegant touch, I would recommend this perfume.

Versace: Bright Crystal
This scent, to me, smells very fruity/floral. It is said to contain notes of yuzu lemon, pomegranate, peony, lotus flower, acajou wood, and musks. I would recommend this perfume to those who put glamour first and crave that fruity floral scent.

I love most of these perfumes, but I think I will get the Clinique Happy!
